When are classes?
Classes will be weekly. Time slots will be decided based on student and parent preferences, along with tutor availability.
Are tutoring sessions online or in person?
Tutoring sessions will be held online on Microsoft Teams in our Venture Academy Teams that we will invite students to after signing up.
How large will class sizes be?
One on one.
Who are you offering tutoring for?
We are currently only offering tutoring for Bellevue School District elementary and middle school students. We may expand to other districts in the future.
What subjects are available?
For elementary school: math and language arts/ELA
For middle school: math, science, language arts/ELA, foreign languages (Spanish, Chinese, French)
Can I register my child for classes that are higher or lower than their grade level?
Yes! You can sign your child up for any class that you feel is at their level, regardless of their actual grade.
What will classes look like?
It depends on the tutor and student! Mostly, they'll consist of homework help although tutors are also trained in curriculum development so they will be able to cover concepts beyond homework for a better learning experience.
What will lessons look like?
Lessons will be taught through Microsoft Teams, using Microsoft applications like OneNote and PowerPoint. They will align with topics that are usually learnt at whichever grade level the class is at. Some lessons may also teach extra skills that may not be taught in school.
